The first trailer for ‘The Batman’ is finally here
The highly anticipated trailer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman has just landed and people are going bonkers for it. Director Matt Reeves debuted a first look at Pattinson’s take on the Dark Knight.
The story takes place roughly two years into Bruce Wayne becoming Batman, so he’s still pretty much just vigilante at the point. Matt Reeves confirmed that ‘Batman isn’t Batman yet’ during this time.
The trailer also introduces us to a few other characters, including Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Paul Dano as The Riddler and Colin Farrel as The Penguin. Matt Reeves said that most of these characters are still coming into themselves; Selina Kyle is not Catwoman yet, and The Riddler and The Penguin are only just beginning their life of crime. Wowzers. That was pretty insane tbf. I like Pattison’s slightly more disheveled take on Batman. Apparently lots of fans who saw the trailer are now wanting to see Batman face Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. That would be pretty cool actually.
The Batman hits cinemas in 2021.
