Batwoman to be recast after Ruby Rose quits after one season
Ruby Rose has announced that she’ll be quitting the CW's Batwoman after just one season. The reasons for her leaving haven’t been made clear but guess is that producers made her quit because she was fucking shit in the role and that her acting is deplorable.
Both Warner Bros. and the CW have said they’ll definitely be doing a second season, with a new actor playing Kate Kane/Batwoman. Here’s what Ruby Rose had to say about 'very difficult' decision:
This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles. I am beyond appreciative to Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Caroline Dries for not only giving me this incredible opportunity, but for welcoming me into the DC universe they have so beautifully created. Thank you Peter Roth and Mark Pedowitz and the teams at Warner Bros. and The CW who put so much into the show and always believed in me. Thank you to everyone who made season one a success – I am truly grateful.
In a joint statement, Warner Bros. said that they look forward to casting of a new lead actress and member of the LGBTQ community. Currently the fan favourite to play Batwoman is Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Stephanie Beatriz so we’ll see how that plays out.
Even though the Batwoman was made with Ruby Rose in mind, in my opinion Stephanie Beatriz wouldve been the better choice because basically embodies the character. & That isnt knocking Ruby either. #Batwoman pic.twitter.com/9YLcY0vB12
