Sophie Turner admits she smokes weed in the bath with Maisie Williams
I knew Game of Thrones co-stars Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) were close but I didn’t know they were this close! Sophie Turner let slip in a recent interview that as well as doing all the usual BFF stuff like going out got dinner and watching movies, they also like to smoke weed in the bath together!
In her interview with Vulture, Sophie said:
We're kind of like loners on Game of Thrones, just because the past few seasons Maisie and I have sleepovers every night when we're shooting. Or every night whenever both of us are in town. We just used to sit there and eat and watch stupid videos and smoke weed. I don't know if my publicist will kill me for saying this. We'd get high and then we'd sit in the bath together and we'd rub makeup brushes on our faces. It's fun.
That's friendship goals right there! Sophie didn't just talk about her high nights in with Maisie, she also talked about Game of Thrones and the length the production company go to to keep filming secret. Turns out HBO are so adamant to avoid spoilers they've actually has to shoot drones straight out of the sky. Sophie said:
The secrecy is crazy. We have a whole different name for it when we're shooting it. I think this season it was like the Tree of Life or something.
So basically the actors' names are changed in the scripts and call sheets and HBO even has a 'drone killer' that shoots down any that fly over the set. Sophie said:
I don't know how it does it. It creates like this field around and the drones just drop. Also, we shoot fake scenes. We got into costume in Croatia because we know the paparazzi lurk around there, so we would spend like half a day doing nothing.
Speaking about her character in the final season, Sophie said:
I know I say this every season, but Sansa really comes into her own this season. The past few seasons for her and the whole series for her, she's kind of been somewhat lost as a matter of where she wants to be, who she wants to be, who she wants to surround herself with, and this season she is very very self-assured.
So it sounds like we’re in for a rollercoaster ride this season. Roll on 2019!
