Woman attempts to eat the world's stinkiest fish
I'm sure you've all heard of Surströmming - the stinky fish that literally translates to "sour herring" in Swedish. A few people have attempted to try it over the years but not many have succeeded. It usually ends with someone either retching or puking. It's supposed to smell like a rotten fishy fanny crossed with a dead body so fuck knows why anyone would want to eat it but whatever floats your boat I guess.
The fish gets it's pungent aroma from being plucked out of the Baltic Sea before being stored for months to stew in their own bacteria which creates smelly acids, using just enough salt to prevent it from rotting. Yummy.
Obviously with something this horrendous, there are some brave folks who think they're hard enough to attempt such a task, like this woman. Watch as she takes part in the Surströmming challenge:
That looks grim. I'd love to get a whiff of it though, just to see what all the fuss is about. But there's no way in hell I'd eat it!
