Dentists share their vomit inducing horror stories
As kids it's drilled into us (see what I did there) to brush our teeth daily or they'll rot and fall out. So why the fuck can't some grimy heed this warning? Don't get me wrong, I don't floss every day like I probably should but fuck me, you can bet your ass I brush my teeth and have regular dental checkups. Nobody want's to be kissing up on you with some brown smelly mouth!
If you're a bit of a dirtbag and don't brush as often as you should then these stories shared on Reddit will literally make you sprint to the bathroom to give those pearly whites a good going over. These dentists have seen some shit!

"When I was a student in dental school we worked on an emergency clinic once a month on a rotation basis. This acted as primary care for homeless people or people who were just visiting the city. A man, middle aged with no relevant medical history, came in with the complaint of sore gums. When he opened his mouth his gums were blood red (not a good sign) and were actually weeping blood as I sat there. Whilst performing a periodontal examination (checking for gum disease using a blunt ended probe) I must have burst a pocket of infection underneath the gum as this wash of pus ran down his teeth, onto his tongue and he threw up there and then. Fun times."

"In college I saw (live, not in class) a case of Acute Necrotizing Ulcerative Gingivitis (ANUG, Google it, I dare you), which is the necrosis of the mouth tissue leading to a rotten smell and a white necrotic tissue over the patient's gums (the tissue is the necrotic gums). The smell is so horrible that everyone could sense it from afar and even using two masks it was nauseating to say the least, I will never forget that smell."

"My dad is a dentist. This story really sticks out for me.
He went to dental school in a major metropolitan city in the south. Being in a big city, there were tons of homeless people around that the students practiced on. He got a woman one day who came in with what appeared to be an abscess. He begins working on her only to have a cockroach come running out of it, down her cheek and onto the floor. She said she slept outside a lot and that it probably crawled in her mouth while she was sleeping."
Now if you'll excise me, I'm going to throw out all the sweets in my house and brush the fuck out of my teeth.
