Watch Wayne Rooney make a cameo appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse

Man Utd's on-the-pitch performances might not have been up to much this season, but they've had another blinder off it.

Up until now, our favourite commercial tie-in of the campaign was probably that time they got Dwight Yorke to unveil their new Official Agricultural Equipment partner (a tractor!), but this X-Men stuff is different gravy.

Old Trafford welcomed mascots in blue facepaint for the game against Bournemouth on Tuesday which, in hindsight, must have been a teaser for this; Actual Wayne Rooney, acting out a scene with actual James McAvoy and other stars from the forthcoming film.
