The controversial presenter has been suspended "pending an investigation" following "a fracas" with one of the show's producers.
A statement from the BBC went on to say that "no one else has been suspended", but that "Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday."
Course, not the first time he's found himself in hot water...
After allegedly using a racist word during filming of the show last year, Clarkson then stated that he was on his final warning from the corporation, and would be sacked if he made "one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time". Do fracas' count as offensive remarks?
Given that he effectively owns the show along with executive producer Andy Wilman, the BBC couldn't simply replace him. In fact if he is let go it's more likely he'd just take the show with him, Hammond and May included. Sky Atlantic, anyone?
