The Brazilian midfielder left Man Utd last month for Internacional in his homeland. In what would be his second (short-lived) appearance, they travelled to Bolivia yesterday for a Copa Libertadores game against The Strongest. The hosts' ground is in La Paz, a city 3.6km above sea level.
Difficult conditions if you're not used to them, and the last seven teams to visit for a Libertadores tie have all come away empty-handed. But, you know, no-one else in that Internacional starting eleven got subbed after 36 minutes, did they?
I'll not go too heavy on the fat jokes though, if anything this is an improvement. Old Trafford's just 30m above sea level (cheers Wikipedia) and they were lucky to get 20 minutes out of him there.
