The German goalkeeper started his career with FC Bad Kotzting in his homeland and finished it with Ramblers in Namibia. In between he represented 23 other clubs in a total of 13 different countries, taking in England along the way with spells at Huddersfield, Nottingham Forest and Wimbledon.
More fun facts: He once died on a football pitch and has spent time in prison.
