Annoying as the current UK general election campaign is, it's got nothing on the running for the FIFA presidency.
At a recent Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) congress meeting, the Dominican Republic FA president Osiris Guzman compared Blatter to not only our lord and saviour, but also (deep breath) Moses, Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King.
Mind you if that lot were alive now I doubt they'd have had the balls to give Qatar a World Cup. Takes real strength of leadership to green-light a tournament that's seen more than 1,000 constructors killed, a full six years before it's due to take place.
