Jared Leto’s Joker returns in Zack Snyder’s new ‘Justice League’ trailer
Twitter went batshit over the weekend after the new three-minute trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League dropped. Fans are proper hyped for the upcoming four-hour HBO Max cut which revamps Snyder's original version and they’re even excited for the return of Jared Leto’s Joker. Yeah, I’m confused too.
Fans were left feeling disappointed with Snyder’s 2017 film so this revamped version is looking like it’s got everyone creaming their pants. However, it was the final few seconds of the trailer that really got people talking. We haven’t seen Leto’s Joker since his abysmal portrayal in 2016's Suicide Squad so lord knows why he’s been allowed to have another bash but hey, who am I to interfere with Snyder’s vision. As you can see Leto’s Joker this time around is much darker and creepier but it’s his line from the movie that’s been trending this morning.
There’s a part where Joker utters "We live in a society," which has been a Joker-related meme for years. No Joker has ever said the phrase before but it's a massively popular line so to hear Leto say it is a pretty big deal. After the trailer dropped, Leto took to Twitter to share the trailer along with the caption: "We live in a society." Check out the trailer below

For the new cut, Snyder spent around $70million on reshoots and brought back cast members Ben Affleck (Batman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Amber Heard (Mera) Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Ezra Miller (Flash) for extra action scenes. Should be a pretty epic film.
Justice League is due for release March 18th 2021 on HBO Max.
