Director says new Face/Off film is a sequel not a reboot
Let’s face it, the 90s were a pretty epic time for movies. We had films like Cruel Intentions and Drop Dead Fred to get on board with as well as ridiculous action flicks like Con Air and Face/Off. Oh to be to be back in the 90s movie era.
After nearly 25 years since Face/Off was released starring Nicolas Cage and John Travolta, it looks like there’s going to be a sequel. There was initially talk of a reboot but now the director looks set on making it into a sequel. Here’s what Director Adam Wingard had to say about it on Instagram. He’s also the guy who made ‘Godzilla Vs Kong’, so he’s no stranger to action films:
It’ll be interesting to see how he puts together a direct sequel to ‘Face/Off’ but I’ve got high hopes. We’re not sure yet if John Travolta or Nicolas Cage will return for the sequel or the director will go in a completely different route. Time will tell.
