Sex Toy sales have doubled since the start of the pandemic

As of last night, Boris Johnson announced another strict lockdown meaning businesses must close their doors once again. However, there is one industry that has been thriving throughout this entire pandemic whilst others have been struggling to stay afloat - The sex toy industry.

Figures have shown that sex toy sales have doubled over the past year, as more people have been using their time indoors to have a bit of ‘me time’. According to data by Ann Summers, the rise in sales looks set to climb higher as yet more lockdowns are imposed. Ann Summers reportedly sold nine times more leather paddles at the end 2020 that in 2019 which definitely shows people are getting kinkier.
