First look at Colin Farrell as The Penguin
Since the trailer for the new Batman movie dropped dropped in August, people have been wondering how on earth a decent looking dude like Colin Farrell is going to morph into the Penguin. Turns out the makeup department did a pretty good job because check out these behind the scenes pics of Oswald Cobblepot:
Looks a bit like a cross between De Niro and Al Capone. It’s nice to see the famous Penguin umbrella too. Apparently Colin Farrell’s co-stars didn’t even recognise him when he first revealed his new look, with Jeffrey Wright, who plays James Gordon in the film, saying this:
I’ve worked with that makeup artist before and it’s just incredible. Colin walked onto set one day and I walked right past him. I was like, “okay, hey, what’s happening? Where’s Colin? Are we going to shoot?” It was pretty remarkable.
Tbf, I wouldn’t recognise him either. We also get a peak at Zoe Kravitz who plays Catwoman and although no one will ever beat Michelle Pfeiffer for me, Zoe is still pretty good.
We’ve not seen what The Riddler is going to look like yet, played by Paul Dano, but if The Penguin is anything to go by we know he’s going to look awesome. Sadly we’ll have to wait until March 2022 to see the film but hey, it gives us something to look forward to.
