Bombshell trailer drops: the true story of the Fox News sex scandal starring Morgot Robbie
The official trailer has just landed for Margot Robbie's new movie, Bombshell, and it looks epic! The movie is based on a true story about the female employees at Fox News and their take on the toxic and misogynistic media mogul, Roger Ailes.
With the exception of Robbie whose character is fictionalised, Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron play the real-life women, Gretchen Carlson (Kidman) and Megyn Kelly (Theron) as they reenact the real-life scandal involving the take-down of one one of the world's most powerful men - Roger Ailes, played by John Lithgow. After more than 20 women came forward accusing CEO Roger Ailes of sexual harassment he was forced to step down from the right-wing network.
The trailer shows Gretchen Carlson (Nicole Kidman) taking legal action against Fox News' Roger Ailes (John Lithgow) just as a hot young producer (Margot Robbie) joins the network. The producer, a fictional character named Kayla Pospisil, soon gets to know just how toxic the environment is at Fox News when she asks to get in front of the camera and is told by Ailes she needs to prove she is "loyal" first. We all know what that means.
Check out the trailer:
Damn, this looks intense. I love a take-down of an misogynistic right-wing entitled piece of shit. Bombshell is due to hit cinemas on 24th January 2020.
