Instagram model locked up in Thai jail for having missing passport pages
A Scottish model and Instagram influencer got herself banged up in a Thai prison for a whole day after Thai officials discovered she had 2 pages missing from her passport. Damn, those Thai’s don’t mess about!
28-year-old Lacey Montgomery-Henderson was in Bangkok for a work trip where she was spend time with other bloggers and models, but ended up in a ‘filthy, roach-infested’ Thai jail because two pages of her passport were missing. Lacey said the pages were missing due to a liquid spill 5 years ago but no one had really taken any notice of it before now. Lacey said the prison stank of piss, was crawling with cockroaches, and was pretty much a horrific ordeal. Here’s what she said:
I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, they treat you like animals and it’s an experience I won’t forget quickly.
I’d say I feel sorry for her but come on love, you were in there for 24 hours. It’s hardly the fucking Shawshank Redemption. It seems like Lacey’s stint in the slammer has done wonders for her career though, as the story has been covered in all the national newspapers, hence gaining her tonnes of new followers. Silver linings eh?!
