Sherif Lanre was apparently axed from Love Island for wanking in the hot tub

There’s been a tonne of speculation surrounding Sherif Lanre over the past few days and the reason why he was kicked out of the Love Island villa. As ITV bosses have been pretty cagey about the situation, fans have been drawing their own conclusions and one reason that keeps coming up is that Sherif was booted for wanking in the hot tub. Seems pretty plausible considering there’s a ‘no masturbating’ rule in the contract.

Here’s what the ITV2 bosses have said:

After breaking the villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa.

Sherif has also said absolutely nothing about why he was axed:

In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa. I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from. I really enjoyed my time in the villa and look forward to catching up with everyone on the outside.

Sherif and ITV may be keeping shtum but the good folks Twitter have stepped in to get the Chinese whispers started and it actually sounds like they might be onto something:

So yeah, still none the wiser really but I really do reckon he was wanking. He’s a 20-year-old dude stuck in a villa with Lucie Donlan, Molly-Mae & Anna Vakili strutting around in bikinis. What’s a man to do?!
