There's a Diego Maradona documentary on the way from the makers of 'Senna' and 'Amy'
You wouldn't have thought that it'd take until 2019 for someone to get around to releasing a definitive biopic of such an iconic mad bastard genius, would you?
Better late than never though. And with the makers of Senna and Amy - armed with over 500 hours of footage from the great man's personal archive - behind the project, it ought to be a good'un.
The teaser clip here contains excited scenes from a 1984 press conference announcing his move to Napoli (spoiler alert: the hype was justified) and you can bet the fun, games, japes and hijinks won't stop there.
The film is simply titled Diego Maradona and it's out June 14th. Can't wait.
