New details released about 'Peaky Blinders' season 5
Any person with an ounce of sense loves Peaky Blinders. It's basically the BEST FUCKING SHOW ON EARTH! New details have just been released about the shows return in 2019 which will no doubt make fans dizzy with excitement.
The BBC recently announced who will be directing the six episodes of series five and apparently he's a pretty big deal. You've probably not heard of Anthony Byrne he's the dude that's been lined up to take on the huge task of directing one of the most popular TV shows ever made! Byrne has previously directed ITV’s three-part drama Butterfly, and co-writtten In Darkness with Game Of Thrones siren Natalie Dormer.
I know it doesn't sound like the most impressive rap sheet but I'm sure they wouldn't have enlisted him unless he was up to the job. The show isn't due to be released until next year so we're bound to hear a lot more from Byrne, as well as other juicy info about the upcoming season. So far, creator Steven Knight had hinted that 30 episodes could be enough to tell the Shelby family’s story, which could make seaon 5 the last season. Say it isn't so! Steven said:
We're all thinking that five will be the last one, but it's not set in stone. I don't want to be a hostage to that. I mean, I always hope we will get more. For all we know, we may even go beyond that.
He's not giving much away is he?! Although Paul Anderson, who plays Arthur Shelby, shed a bit more light on the subject. He said:
I don't think six episodes is enough to get us there.I had this conversation with Cillian about one more season, and we both agreed, listen, if that's it, then yeah, for sure. But it might take two more.I’ve got a feeling it might take two more.
Fuck yeah! That's the spirit!
