85-year-old granny is left shocked after tampered Mother's Day card calls her a slut
Mums all over the UK were celebrated on Sunday with cards, gifts and a slap-up roast dinner, but there was one old dear that didn't quite get the car she was hoping for on Mother's Day.
85-year-old Dorothy Hopkins, couldn't wait to open her card from her daughter Mandy and was all smiles when it came through the letterbox.
But upon inspection, she realised the envelope had been tampered with.
Mandy wrote "Best in the world, love you lots" on the inside of the card but some sicko at the sorting office thought it would be funny to write their own message instead.
In case you can't read the shocking writing, it reads:
I wanna go back to my birth hole spread em you dirty old slut. From the loving sorting office.
Hate you lots you whore. Suck my hairy sack you bitch.
That's a pretty horrendous thing to write to an old lady. Dorothy was so upset about about the card that she couldn't bring herself to read the full message. She said:
It is an absolute disgrace. If it was someone's idea of a joke, it was in terribly bad taste and has left me really upset. I have six children, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and I was really pleased to receive six Mother's Day cards - but I can only put up five because Mandy's has been defaced by someone at the Royal Mail. We have been in touch with the police and someone senior from the Royal Mail is coming to see me tomorrow.
I mean yeah, it's awful but involving the police? Really? I'm sure they've got more important stuff to be getting on with.
