New series 'Convicting a Murderer' will follow up on 'Making a Murderer' case
Making A Murderer was one of those documentaries that had everyone talking. Everyone's heart went out to this poor dude who has spent most of his life behind bars despite seeming like he's done fuck all wrong.
It's been a few years since the documentary was released and people have been itching to find out if there's anything new going on with Steven Avery's case. fans of the show will be pleased to find out that a new show called Convicting A Murderer is now on the cards.
The new show doesn't really have anything to do with Netflix or the original show, but it will examine the case from the perspective of the law officials involved with it who felt that they were unfairly treated when the original show. So you're going to finally hear the firsthand stories of people like Ken Kratz and Tom Fassbender. They came across as sneaky assholes in the original series, so I guess they want to do some damage control. Here's what series producer Shawn Rech had to say about it:
When Making A Murderer was produced, many on the law enforcement side of the story could not, or would not, participate in the series, which resulted in a one-sided analysis of the case. This docuseries will examine the case and the allegations of police wrongdoing from a broader perspective. It will also share with viewers the traumatic effects of being found guilty and vilified in the court of public opinion.
Sounds pretty darn interesting to me. There's no more info as of yet or a release date but watch this space.
