Muay Thai fighter suffers horrendous skull fracture during fight
A French Muay Thai fighter named Jeremy has suffered a grotesque skull fracture after he was elbowed in the head during a competition in Thailand.
The injury occurred at the Patong Stadium in Thailand on Monday, and ended up with the fighter having to have emergency surgery to his forehead. Weirdly, Jeremy didn't stop fighting after receiving an elbow to the face and carried on fighting until the referee stepped in to stop the fight. The fighter's photos were shared on Facebook by Jonny Betts, another Muay Thai photo from the same gym as Jeremy. Luckily Jeremy's surgery was a success and he now has a titanium plate fitted in his skull where the bone had collapsed.
Pretty grim. It looked like his head was made out of Play Doh.
