'Beauty and the Beast' without CGI looks utterly ridiculous
I realise that the live action movie of Beauty and the Beast isn't for everyone but it was actully a pretty decent film and the CGI was freakin insane. I've rarely given much thought to CGI and how they actually create monsters in movies but after seeing these behind the scenes photos of how they created the Beasts iconic height and girth, I'll never look at magical films the same way again.
Dan Stevens, who plays the Beast is actually a pretty small guy in real life, so to create the height and width of the Beast he had to wear a poufy grey motion-capture suit and spring-like lifts on his feet. He looks utterly ridiculous and I don't know how Emma Watson managed to keep a straight face.
